Minn. Man Contracts ‘Rat Lungworm’ disease

Minn. Man Contracts ‘Rat Lungworm’ Disease In Hawaii « CBS Minnesota PETA and the SPCA will love the fact that an open season on rats begins now. For the avid shooter who prefers a small rimfire caliber the 22 LR comes configured with a "shot load" of #12 pellets that has a deadly efficiency at a distance of about 15ft. For the guy who likes distance shots the standard 50grn. bullet out of a 22short is comfortably accurate up to 30ft. If within a populated area the shooter wants to maintain stealth and avoid drawing attention with a gunshot so to achieve this affect he should use the CCI brand of ammunition...very quiet with fragmenting upon impact which causes a roto-rooter effect inside the torso of the target...but...given the fact that a rats body is capable of withstanding severe trauma they are extremely hard to kill instantly with a body shot therefore a neck/spine or cranium shot will do the job with only some kicking and flopping coupled with major blood loss. Be aware that a kill of this nature does leave a lot of red snow. If the kill is inside a building, garage, shed, barn etc. then there will be a mess to clean up. With a well placed head shot brain spatter is not uncommon so ensure the area is cleaned thoroughly.
Hope you can use the advice...and keep killing the "RATS".
